Summer beach days call for flattering pieces that complement the lines of the body and boost confidence from head to toe.  Simple solids and carefully constructed color-blocked suits are some of my favorite ways to go when it's time to enjoy having my toes in the sand.

And seeing to how it's Friday, there's no better time to dive into my favorite pieces for sea and sand.  This one piece is so stunningly chic I wish I could wear it to more places, haha.  The broad shoulder so perfectly offsets the deep neckline which is then gorgeously pulled together and well-defined with the belted waist.  This is truly the suit to choose no matter where your perceived flaws may lie.

I also think this ruffle-topped option is as eye catching as it is adorable.  The ruffles add just a bit of playful whimsy to the look which is, after all, what a beach day is all about.  But, if a bit of landscape-inspired color is more to your liking, then this beautiful one-piece from Alberta Ferretti is such a good choice.  I love the draped detailing and shoulder tie fastening that add just the right bit of interest to make this one a perfect head turner.

Reach for a nice sarong in either a pattern or solid color (love this one) along with some easy flat sandals and large brimmed hat and you're ready for a beautiful day at the beach.  Here's to hoping that your weekend finds you there or somewhere equally fabulous.  I can think of a few of those too which is great as we can plan more outfits for those in the future.  Happy weekend everyone!
